Mally in the Buff ~ 11 piece Eyeshadow palette w/eye base & brush

Hey there!
As I'm continually adding to my makeup collection I sometimes forget about some of the nice makeup I've purchased.  For instance, the  Mally-In-the-Buff-11pc-Eyeshadow Palette w Eye Base and Brush, a 'rediscovered' palette I'd forgotten about. It comes with  a mirror, a two-ended brush, shadow base and 11 eyeshadows. It's by Mally Rochal, a MUA for celebrities. She has a great line of cosmetics. I first found Mally on the home shopping channel at www.qvc.com

At a glance, these shades look similar to the Urban Decay NAKED 1 palette but they're not dupes and I find them to have less shimmer than the NAKED 1 palette.

(Left to right: shadow base, Au Natural, Bubbly, Buff, Tiger's Eye, Cappuccino, Shimmering Taupe, Brownstone, Oak, Egyptian Gold, Toast, Chocolate Diamond)

Au Natural, Buff and Cappuccino are the only matte shades in the palette. The others are, what I consider, satin & subtle shimmers with the exception of Chocolate Diamond. It appears to have a little more sparkle, not glittery though. The shadow base is flesh tone in color with a soft, cream eyeshadow texture. I found out it only takes a small amount of the shadow base for each eyelid. Using too much will cause it to crease.
All of these neutral tone shadows can be used either wet or dry. So when you look at it like that you're really getting 22 eyeshadows!
Here I swatched the shadows dry. (I didn't notice till I uploaded this picture that I swatched the shadows from right to left instead of how they are in the palette)

Here I swatched the shadows wet. An obvious difference in pigmentation from the dry.

The Au Natural shade doesn't show in either of the swatches. It's apparently a perfect match for my pale skin.

*Since I've purchased this palette, Mally has changed some of the colors in this neutral palette and renamed it "In the Buff 2". She's also added another palette choice called "I Love Color" with bright colors. The palettes are not sold alone but are included in a collection called "Easy on the Eyes 6 pc. Wardrobe Collection". You can purchase it here from QVC.com

Till I post again, have a splendid day!
Debbie
