Hey there!
I spotted this new foundation at my local Walmarts recently and thought I'd give it a try since it claims to be 'shine-free'. I'm a little oily in the T zone where some foundations really 'shine'. It's the MAYBELLINE FIT ME 'SHINE FREE' STICK FOUNDATION and comes in 12 oil free shades.
According to the Maybelline website this lightweight gel stick foundation with an anti-shine powder core:
- Instantly dissolves excess oil
- For flawless shine free skin & tailor-made natural matte coverage
- Easy to apply & great on the go
*The website also suggests for best results to blend with your fingers.
I was disappointed with this foundation. For me, it just didn't live up to Maybelline's claims of being 'shine-free'. I applied it with a brush and my fingers, I couldn't tell one method worked better than the other. I also tried it with and without a primer, with different powders and without. No matter how I applied or used this foundation I was shiny in my T-zone.
This foundation emphasized my pores more than other foundations I have. That's never a pretty sight! It failed to give me a matte finish as claimed. It actually got to looking worse as the day wore on.
The only good thing I can say about this foundation is the color (#120) 'Fit Me'.

Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Stick Foundation? If so, what did you think of it? Did it live up to what its professed to do for you?
Until next time have a splendid day!
